Mélamirë's backstory is also starting to take a vague shape: four thousand-plus years in the South! One would wonder how many other elves are in places that Tolkien never put them in his legendarium? Very realistic, and very, very intriguing.
I also am starting to get a sneaky feeling about Mélamirë's parentage that explains certain revelations made elsewhere.
